- Purpose
• To encourage high-quality academic research done at the Masters level.
- Selection method – Application by the student.
• The application should be submitted by the students through the Project Guide or the Head of the Department where the project was carried out..
• The deadline for nominations is November 15, 2025.
- Eligibility for application
• M.E./M.Tech, M.Sc. (Engg), M.Sc. (Science), M.Pharm, MDS theses completed in the academic year 2024-25.
• The thesis evaluation should be completed at the time of application. A provisional degree will also be considered. The applicant is encouraged to be a member of SBAOI or should have applied for SBAOI membership at the time of application. Membership number or application proof to be appended.
- Application
• The student will apply for an award with a description of the project work in the application form available here (download) along with the copy of the thesis submitted to the university/institution.
• The application form should be endorsed by the Guide of the Head of the Department along with a copy of the degree certificate. Provisional degree will also be considered.
• Nominations should be sent to sbaoiawards@gmail.com on or before November 15, 2025.
- Selection Procedure
Shortlisting will be done by the Selection Committee of SBAOI and the Selection
Committee will recommend the Applicant for conferment of the Award.Note: The decision of the award committee is final.

Conferring the award
Award will be conferred during the Annual Meeting of the SBAOI (IIT Ropar, December 2025).
Honor includes a Certificate of Award, Waiver of Registration fee to attend the SBAOI Conference.
