Abstract

The characteristics and the structure of natural bones are distinctive, substituting them in the form of an implant would not be an easy task. Need for an alternative for human bones are in case of fractures or bone diseases. Those affected areas are substituted by an alternative material that replicates the property of natural bone. This work's main objective is to renovate the advanced researches relating to bone replacement and repairing materials. It reveals the advantages, disadvantages, and production methods of bones. Biocompatible polymers are extremely encouraging materials in the arena of human-made bones. Also, shape memory alloys could enhance the assimilation of synthetic bone effectively in the surgical technique. The customized bone for the human body can quickly be produced by Additive Manufacturing technology. Additive Manufacturing (AM) is an ultimate contender for the subsequent creation of orthopaedic implants.
